Gorilla Glue #4, created by GG Strains, is a multiple award-winning, Sativa-dominant hybrid strain famous for its high THC content, averaging between 18 to 25 percent THC, although some dispensaries may advertise it as high as 32 percent.

This strain gets its name from the resin that collects on the scissors when trimming. Gorilla Glue #4 is the result of extensive backcrossing using several parent strains, including Sour Diesel, Sour Dubb, Chem’s Sister, and Chocolate Diesel.

This hybrid strain has received awards at the 2014 Hemp Cup in both Los Angeles and Michigan and has been described as buds covered in trichomes with a few leaves and stalks sticking out.

The aroma is mostly diesel, with notes of chocolate and coffee; although, some users have described it as sweet and earthy. The smoke is flavorful, full-bodied, and dense due to the spongy, resinous buds, which are green with orange hairs.

Growers recommend checking each plant for pollen sacs during the flowering stage, even if using feminized seeds since Gorilla Glue #4 came into existence due to accidental pollination by a hermaphrodite. The strain flowers in 8 weeks and yields heavily.
