KINE BUD SEEDS

Kine Bud was often used to describe high-quality weed, back when cheap, low-quality “Reggy weed” was common. However, what you might not have known is that there was also a strain called Kine Bud. This strain was a Kush variety crossed with pine bud that circulated in the early 90s near San Antonio in south Texas. In those parts of Texas, you would need to clarify whether you were referring to Kine Bud or the Kine strain. NukeHeads has acquired this strain and produced seeds from it to bring back the days of Kine Bud or Dro. Today, we now know that many people who called something “dro” were actually not getting any high-quality weed at all – it was mostly dirt-grown weed. Most growers in the underground growing world were soil/dirt-growers, with true hydro growers being very rare due to the risk of raids. This made dirt growing the best option for illegal growers.

 It came from a Hindu Kush lineage, which originates from landrace plants mainly found in Afghanistan, Northern Pakistan and North-Western India. These Kush Hemp strains were taken to the United States in the mid-to-late 1970s and continue to be available today.

The Pine strain had “pinenes” in its terpene profile, which gave the buds a smell more like that of a pine tree. Despite this unique aspect, no concrete information has been gathered about Kine Bud as a strain, except that it was a Kush strain crossed with a pine bud strain; however, there is also an Afghani strain called pine tar. Therefore, it is unclear whether Kine Bud was a pine tar x Hindu Kush cross or a Hindu Kush cross with a pine bud strain. This is the mystery surrounding the infamous Kine Bud strain from San Antonio, Texas. Nevertheless, we have acquired the strain and are offering its seeds to you here at Nuke Heads!
